Has anyone ever seen AT&T do this? We currently have all copper service in our neighborhood, but AT&T ran both fiber and copper when our subdivision was built.
Below is a picture of what most of the peds look like throughout our subdivision. The left is the fiber ped with a square base(This photo doesn't show the square base as good as a lot of the other peds do). The ped on the right is the POTS copper that U-Verse VDSL2 is currently being served on.
Why would they run fiber and not go ahead and do FTTP?
The subdivision was built in 08 and AT&T began offering U-Verse in 2013. Why didn't they move over to FTTP when they began to offer U-Verse? Just doesn't make sense to me.
