I have been getting regular mail telling me I am qualified for UVERSE. Looking into this, I find I am not qualified for UVERSE TV, but I am for UVERSE Internet (up to 6Mbps) and phone.
I am curious about the internet. It says I am qualified for " 6 Mbps elite" service. I currently have 6 Mbps regular DSL. My voice line is POTS but is expensive as I have to have "Area Calling" due to my proximity to an area that is 1/2 mile away that is long distance for me. If I were to switch to UVERSE from DSL and POTS, my bill would end up being quite a bit lower with the "Promotional pricing" but not sure what the standard rates are.
My current concern is the Internet and these are my questions:
Will I generally find that 6 Mbps UVERSE service is as constant and fast as 6 Mbps DSL? (MY current 6 Mbps DSL is actually not quite doing the full 6 Mbps)
From some of you more knowledgeable types, Would you switch to UVERSE given this situation?
If I need to clarify anything for you to make a reasonable recommendation, let me know.
