I live in a City that At&t has announced Gigapower for the only problem i see with Fiber based services is that the utilities are all underground and there are no phone poles in my neighborhood so they would have to tear up every backyard in my neighborhood due to the utility easements being in peoples backyards with no alley ways. I have the AT&T ped in my backyard.
the other day At&t opened up the existing VRAD and it looked they replaced the cards with N-cards as I was driving by to go to work and the next day when going to work they were installing a new VRAD about 20 feet away from the existing VRAD. wonder if the new VRAD will have a shelf for FTTH? or just VDSL2? I currently Qualify for 45/6 and I would assume 75/8 will be available thanks to At&t adding extra ports? I personally have TWC and will be staying with them as their MAXX service is fixing to launch in my area and I will have 50/5 internet after the changes and my PC doesn't have a 1Gbps NIC card so I can't even go above a 100Mbps tier right now anyways.
