My community is FTTP-IP and recently there was a speed bump, I talk to someone at support and this is what they said. I did go ahead and accept the offer to bump up the speed but I have a question on what are some of the people been able to get on FTTP-GPON.
Here is what they said they have to do in their exact words according to email.
"OK. So I looked at the Transport type and it is currently FTTP-IP and needs to be changed to FTTP-GPON. The only way for us to do that is to submit a Cease/Provide order. Basically we would submit a Cease order on the current Uverse account and that would turn off all of the current Uverse services and then submit a Provide order to start a new account."
He was only able to select max speed of 24mb as the older account would only let me go to 18. However I submitted this in AT&T Direct forum and David responded that in one system he sees 45/6 as max and in other 18/3.
You guys think I might be able to get 45/6 if I escalated it?
