So I've been trying to sign up for Uverse since its the only option for internet in my apartment building. My neighbors get 18Mbps (which I can see when I enter their apartment numbers to check service), but my specific apartment can only get 768kbps. I've tried asking via chat and calling in to find out the reason why, but all I can get is a canned response ("services available depend on your address and we are constantly upgrading our network...") but that makes no sense when my neighbors 10 feet away get 25x faster speed.
I suspect the system might simply be out of date or my particular apartment has some faulty wiring, but how do I get a hold of someone who actually has the authority to investigate this? When I talked to sales, they directed me to technical support, then when I called technical support, they directed me back to sales.
