We had an large AT&T outage in northeast Ohio about a week ago due to a steam pipe break. Since then, I can not access my webmail hosted on a Level3 backbone. I have my laptop connected directly to the U-Verse gateway, and it times out. Trying wireless produces the same result. Without moving, I turn on my Verizon MiFi, and can connect instantly. Tech support on the phone is convinced its the gateway, and is dispatching a technician. I pretty sure it's a waste of both our times. To be sure it's not a DNS issue, I tried typing the IP address. Even using the IP address of the site, it still will not connect.
Just to be sure it wasn't an issue with the laptop, I duplicated the same results using my iPad.
Any thoughts on what I can check/do to resolve the issue?
