Hi all... Switched back to UVerse from Comcast on November 7th. All good until last week when we had a rain/ice/snow event on Monday. This is the very reason we left AT&T a couple years ago.
Problem was way worse on Thanksgiving day, just in time for family coming over to stuff themselves and watch football on the new 60" Sony I scored at WalMart. Service went down 4x that day, and the NVG589 took 20-30 minutes to re-aquire a signal each time. Tech came out Friday morning and found a bad splice between here and the crossbox... all good. But service went down again 20 minutes after he left.
Another "senior" tech came out Saturday morning and replaced the '589... all good. Until last night when the TV picture got all blocky, pixellated and jerky. Called and got in touch with someone who said his group was above Tier 2 in what they could do... inside and outside techs coming tomorrow together.
Here are my current stats, after the new '589 install Saturday about 10:00 am. I'm thinking over 7 million FEC errors down on line 1 and 13000 up on line 2 with 757 CRC in 60 hours errors indicates a continuing line problem.
