I don't know much at all about u-verse, but recently got a offer in the mail to switch to u-verse tv/internet/phone service. Went to the u-verse site and put in my address and zip code and it pulled up the different packages to order. Since the TV package U450, and the internet service is MUCH cheaper than the local cable co, even after the first year discounts I went ahead and ordered. I was able to select the 45Mbps internet package as well. I was wondering if I make it to this point with a completed order, and scheduled install date, dose that mean that u-verse is definetly avalilable where I live? Or is there still a chance they could call and say that it actually isn't? I have seen AT&T employees out here on my street, and all around the nearby area working on the lines, and boxes. However I don't see any new wires up on the utility poles. It still looks like it's just the HFC network from the cable co, and regular phone line. I really hope I can actually get the service though.
