That's how much I am being charged to move my new service to my new home. Despite the fact that I would be dropping down from 45Mbit to 18Mbit, I decided to keep my U-verse account.
I had recently had my speed upgraded from 24 to 45Mbit, getting the latest model modem and a professional install for no cost.
Now I am being told that I have to get my modem swapped out AGAIN and it's going to cost me $100 for a tech to come out and install it. :mad:
Firstly, how on earth it my top-of-the-line modem not able to run a 18Mbit single bonded line, when it's running a 45Mbit dual bonded line at the moment. I would have thought it would have been backward compatible.
Also the last time I had the tech out to do the upgrade, he stayed 4 hours, totally rewired the house connection and did not charge me a cent. Now I have to cough up $100 for the same service, that was previously free.
Well SCREW YOU AT&T, it might cost me $160 to break my contract, but I'm going with Charter on principle. You had your chance, got greedy and now I'm going to kick your sorry arse out of my home! Good Riddance! :mad:
