Got an email from AT&T saying U-verse DSL is now available at my address...Daughter lives next door and got the same email and signed up for the 30 day trial at no cost if it does not suit them...She got the DSL modem, which includes wifi, yesterday but AT&T told them it could not be activated until 8pm Monday...because they had to "Schedule" their access window...anyone know what that means??
Anyway the fastest package available at our addresses is 6MBS with 150GB/month for about $35/month.
We are one mile from fiber and will use existing copper lines at least for that one mile, and we are about 9 miles from the nearest AT&T exchange in Goodwater.
Anyway, she will run speed tests Monday night at testmy.net and give me the results. I'll decide on option after then..
Anyone have experience with the rural 6MBS DSL U-verse service from AT&T?? If so, please share that...
Thanks,
