Can I get a quick education on what the following mean: NID & RG?
Long time DirecTV customer of 15 years or so going to a UVerse bundle this Monday. Home is 10 years old and they ran single COAX runs from the attic to each room outlet. There is also a single run from the Attic to the basement where the cable would come in from the outside provider. The basement was finished later on with single runs of both COAX & CAT5 run terminating near the electric panel just inside where the telephone box is mounted on the outside wall & all those wires run in. Have a couple runs of COAX outisde of the home from the Attic to this basement spot for those two tvs.
Looking at 3 TVs, two in the basement, and one on the main level. I think they can hardwire the two in the basement via CAT5 if they place the modem/router down there as well and the main level TV could be wireless? I have a run of CAT5 from this basement spot to my office which could be connected to my Airport Router which I will put in bridge mode and use to provide better wifi coverage on this level.
Am I the right track here?
