NVG589 and Cisco UC540

I have an NVG589 and five static IP's. My previous internet connection was a Time Warner with Ubee modem. My "router" that I'd like to use is a Cisco UC540. This is a "Unified Communications" appliance that besides acting like a router, is also a phone server. We have about four phones on our network, but six or seven more that connection via the WAN (the phones create a SSL VPN into the UC540). All of that worked great on the Time Warner/Ubee circuit. But that Time Warner circuit cost $175/month, and was only 12 x 1.5. So when the opportunity for the AT&T 45 x 6 connection came along at a substantial savings, we jumped. The problem is, reconfiguring the UC540 for the NVG589 has caused problems. In as little time as it takes to boot, to sometimes a minute or two later, the UC540 starts throwing memory fragmentation errors in the diagnostic log, and then the SIP trunk stops working. The funny thing is, the combination of the UC540 and NVG589 actually worked quite well for a few days, but then seemingly stopped working. Power cycling the UC540 didn't fix anything. I tried all sorts of stuff like checking the NVG589 settings to make sure the firewall was disabled and packet filter was off, etc., and setup the UC540 for the AT&T static IP again, etc., and it just wouldn't work reliably. So I took the UC540 to another location where there is also an NVG589, and setup the UC540 for the new static IP, and it booted and worked. The difference was, all those remote phones weren't finding it because they didn't "know" the new IP address. Also, not really much in the way of PC traffic was hitting the UC540. So I took the UC540 BACK to the original location, setup for the correct IP, and no love, same sort of crashing. Put it back on the Time Warner/Ubee connection, and it is fine. So I'm sort of wondering whether the 6-7 SSL VPN's created by the remote phones are causing a problem, or what. Any ideas? I'm including some of the content of the diagnostic log, so you guys can see what happens when running from the NVG589.
