I recently switched my service from Cox Cable to U-Verse, and so far I am pleasantly surprised. This weekend's SoCal outage aside, I am loving the U450 package of channels. I'm especially loving how much more affordable U-Verse is compared to Cox.
My only real concern with switching to U-Verse was my Internet speed. Previously I have 50Mbps with Cox, and when switching to U-Verse the fastest I was told I was eligible for was Max Turbo (24Mbs).
During installation I inquired if there was any way to switch to Power (45Mbps). The installer, who was very friendly, said that this is sometimes difficult in MDUs, but would all depend on how strong the signal is and how close I was to the main equipment (VRAD?). He said currently I was only set up for the 25/2 profile but that he would research my line and see if he could 'bump' me up to the 32/5 profile, and also let me know if I did qualify to upgrade to Power.
He said he would research and get back to me in about a week. As it's been over a month now I'm sure he was busy and just forgot. That's fine, but I was wondering if someone could see if my profile was switched to the 32/5 that was promised, and what my chances were to upgrade further to the Power tier. Not sure what information I need to provide, but if someone replies I will be happy to give any information needed.
Thank You!
Matt
