Well here is the install review.
After the install was rescheduled two techs showed up on time. One was outside running the fiber to the box in the next door neighbors yard (he never came inside) and one was the inside tech, Dennis.
I showed him around the house and did not let on that I knew a little more than I probably should about U-Verse. He was very nice and said he was going to give me 2 wireless receivers and then run Ethernet to my office and one other bedroom. He said it was no charge for any of it. He said a tech can decided to install wireless because of the wiring in the house and there is no charge if he determines wireless is needed. So he saved me at least $100 for the wireless receivers. One of the two Ethernet drops he installed was to my PC because I asked him if that could be wired. He had no problem with it.
He was here for about 3 hours. The install went without a hitch. he put the RG and WAP and the fiber power box in my closet because that is where all the wiring was run by the builder. He was a little mad the builder did not install Ethernet.
So far we LOVE the service. Instant channel change is really cool. And the internet speed is almost double. My daughter tried Netflix and so far it works just like it used to with Comcast.
On a side note Comcast tried to charge me $900 to cancel. Um not. I told them I was told $100 a month ago to cancel since I was on a contract with the alarm. She put me on hold for like 10mins then came back with an attitude and said I was right. I hate Comcast.
