I recently moved to a new apartment and because of the layout of the apartment I am forced to use wi-fi to hook up my PC to the internet (whereas before I was hard wired into the AT&T U-verse modem).
This router uses 802.11g which besides being painfully slow, especially for PC-to-PC transfers, it also suffers from Bluetooth interference, so if I use Bluetooth speakers in my home the wi-fi will slow down significantly.
I contacted AT&T to see if I could switch out my equipment for a modem with 802.11n, but they told me that they don't have any 802.11n equipment that I can use. Any 802.11n equipment that AT&T has isn't compatible with the type of Uverse DSL I have, apparently.
So my question is this: is there any third party modems compatible with AT&T Uverse, that have 802.11n I can use? I am not interested in having a separate router. It needs to be a router/modem in one box that I can use with my AT&T Uverse internet. Does something like this exist?
Thanks
