Late last fall, ATT installed a shiny tan enclosure on a concrete pad which is hooked up to power and buried rather large orange sheathed cable just down the road from it. These little orange "ATT / D" flags line the road leading to the cabinet. I heard from a contact in ATT that this activity means that Uverse will be coming to my neighborhood "within the year". We have received notices in the mail that ATT long distance and Digital TV are now available but still no DSL or Uverse.
Can anyone shed some light on what is happening behind the scenes and when I can expect the Uverse switch to be turned on? I'm currently paying $40/month for 315kbps down DSL and can't wait to get something faster.
