I have Uverse service on a naked line with no POTS service. The installers spliced a Cat 5e cable directly from incoming line to my modem with no VDSL splitter.
My question is does AT&T use a sealing current on naked Uverse lines? Is the current terminating device in the modem? How is it activated and is it on a regular basis.
Would shorting the line myself allow the sealing current to flow and clean up my line?
