My 2-Wire RG was replaced with a NVG589 5 days ago to fix a white noise issue on voice. It has been running fine but then starting 9:00 PM yesterday it began rebooting spontaneously every hour or so. Sometimes 3x per hour sometimes 3 hours between boots it is random but very frequent.
I found a few posts on this board and the ATT user forum but nobody has posted the resolution.
The only changes I had made were WiFi SSID and Passcode and the Admin Passcode.
This morning I reset the device to factory defaults and an hour later it rebooted.
This is very disruptive to voice and TV as well as Internet. The spouse is livid.
Is there anything I can do to get a handle as to what is causing it?
Besides resetting it to defaults I checked that the device can run on battery and it does.
I never had one iota of problems with the 2-Wire except after I added Uverse Voice and the white noise. The NVG589 reduced the noise but I could live with noise but not these very frequent reboots.
I do not see any line errors in the status pages.
Any insight appreciated.
