Cleveland suburbs have had U-verse service for many years, I never expect it to arrive in Cleveland proper, I assumed the expansion was over. It not available at my address, but 1 mile away at my parents it is. My parents have an appointment on Tuesday for U300 + 18Mbps internet - previously all they could get was 3Mbps DSL. We are keeping the POTS line for telephone and dropping their existing time warner internet and DirecTV television service.
It was turned up last week and they have been kinda pushy; 3 emails in the past week, daily phone calls, and twice someone has come to the door trying to sign them up. The deal that was offered at the door was unfortunately quite poor; I ended up canceling my parents' original order and reordering online.
In person they signed up for U200+6Mbps internet for $99 for 12 months (including HDTV & 2 receivers). I cancelled that and online I got U300+18Mbps, 12 months HBO, HDTV & 2 receivers for $91/mo. Both offers came with a $100 reward card you can redeem online. They don't even have U-vserse TV yet, and already they've had a taste of AT&T's legendary service!
