Anyone think if a home has structured wiring that UVerse could run a fiber line from the NID/ONT to the structured wiring cabinets Ethernet switch or wifi router? That way you wouldn't even need the RG. The VRAD could authenticate UVerse for the customer instead of the RG. The UVerse tech could use the structured wiring cabinets wifi router to set up Uverse services?
Or maybe not even need the NID/ONT at all and run the fiber line straight to the structured wiring cabinet Ethernet switch or wifi router?
However with this type of set-up their is the question of what to do with the battery back up for when power goes out?
