When I called Retention in December, they told me I could have UVerse DSL only for X per month until December 2014.
Everything was okay.
Each bill for December, January, and February was the exact amount we agreed on.
Today, the new bill is posted online and it's $2.53 more.
I am chatting with AT&T Rep online and she said:
Like any business in a highly competitive industry, we occasionally adjust our rates to ensure that we are aligned with current market conditions. Factors in our pricing decisions include our costs of doing business, the value our services provide, and our need to invest in the future. Even at the new rate, our prices still offer an excellent value and competitive prices.
They are breaking a written contract we had between them and I saying they are giving me UVerse DSL for $X a month until December 2014, which is what we agreed on back on December 2013.
They even sent me a letter in the mail in December 2013 saying I am getting UVerse for $X per month for 12 month.
So using this excuse, between now and December, for April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and part of December, AT&T can say their cost of doing business has gone up again so they have to raise your DSL price again.
The AT&T Rep says AT&T has notified all their customers in writing 2 months in advance of the upcoming rate increse!
Total Bull!
I didn't get a letter in my mailbox and in my att.net email, the only email I have ever gotten from them is telling me a new bill has been posted online and then after I pay it, telling me they have received my payment.
