Hi All
My friend has an AT&T u-verse service with a block of 4 static IP's (say 99.5.160.105- 99.5.160.109) . His router model is NVG510. He needs one of his computer connected wirelessly to the u-verse router have a static IP (say 99.5.160.109) out of this block assigned to it.
In the Subnets & DHCP page I see
Private LAN subnet
Device IPv4 Address : 192.168.1254
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
DHCPv4 Start Address : 192.168.1.64
DHCPv4 End Address : 192.168.1.100
Public Subnet Enable : On
Use Cascaded Router : Off
Public IPv4 Address : 99.5.160.109
Public Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.248
DHCPv4 Start Address : 99.5.160.105
DHCPv4 End Address : 99.5.160.109
Currently, his router is connected to a switch (not DHCP enabled) and there are bunch of ip phones connected to this switch. Then there bunch of computers connected to the router wirelessly. Now, all the IP's from this static IP block are automatically given to those IP phones. And the computer (that is connected wirelessly) that needs the static IP has DHCP assigned private address 192.168.1.65 instead.
We need the computer that has the IP 192.168.1.65 to have the public address 99.5.160.109. How do we do this?
Thanks
Mag
