I'm wondering if some of you guys can provide assistance with this. I upgraded to the power tier about 1 month ago, and while everything worked, I did have some"issues" random disconnects and slow downs and issues opening up ports.
On Friday, my internet went down, tv still worked, but no internet. I even tried Ethernet right to the gateway, which is the nvg589, and nothing. I called att and they said had me try to reset the modem, with red button. IT wouldnt reset! I also could not log into the router using 192.168.1.254! So they thought it was the gateway.
Tech was 30 minutes late, so I had my mother in law show him the gateway. Apparently, the line was bad at the pole. He replaced the gateway, but said a line tech needed to fix the pole.
Fast forward to Sunday, line tech removed a tap from my line. And my gateway is still not working, but now no service is flashing red. Also, I still cannot log into the router.
Does anyone have any idea what this issue could be? I never thought the gateway could prevent me from logging in, either by wifi or Ethernet!
