Jumped on the uverse bandwagon yesterday. Went from my 3 mb legacy DSL to 18 MB and U200 tv. I live in a townhouse and drilling through the side of the house was not an option. Fortunately, a few years ago, a new jack was put in with Cat 3. The rest of the house wiring is what they called E-class; unusable for uverse. So the Motorola NVG589 was connected to that newer jack, and the TV right there was hard wired to the STB. Also attached to the 589 was WAP VA2500 for wirelessly serving the upstairs tv (with only the class E wiring nearby.) So far, everything is working great. Have had 3 wireless laptops/tablets going, my now-wireless desktop (they simply put a d-link wireless adapter in a USB slot,) along with both tv's. So far I have been thrilled with the results. As an aside, most of the work they did was on outside plant - multiple bridge taps. From what the tech said, I am pair bonded and on a K card.
