Adding own router

Hi, I am new to Uverse (having just bought a house in an AT&T area). Also, forgive this question, I couldn't find it explained here. I am trying to add my own new router (ASUS AC66U) to the RG. Perhaps there is an easier way of doing this, but I tried following the instructions on the AT&T forums found here: http://forums.att.com/t5/Residential-Gateway/U-verse-for-BUSINESS-2Wire-3600HGV-bridge-mode-or-another-AT-amp/m-p/2707755#M182 . I get the gist of what is being done, but the very first instruction has me baffled, how do I set my (personal) router to get IP address via DHCP? I am able to connect to it and get to the settings (connecting cat5 from a laptop to a LAN port on the ASUS). I don't get what setting change to make to have the ASUS get it's IP from the RG. I tried making the IP static picking a different subnet (192.168.2.1), and couldn't see it. -- "Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have" Gerald Ford
