I cancelled all my ATT services on 12/10/13 and I was provided an "Order Number" and instructions on returning my equipment through a UPS store. The next day I sent the equipment back and received notification from ATT a few days later that they had received it. All seemed well and then last night I get an email stating my order request dated 12/24/13 has shipped. It appears to be a set top box and modem. I contacted ATT today (cancellation department is not open) and they CSR said for some reason my original order to cancel my service had been cancelled and a new order had been generated for new equipment/service. I assured the CSR I had not requested this and asked who had requested the cancellation and new order? He said he had no idea but the service had not been cancelled "for some reason" and "it could have just been a computer glitch".
ATT is the most maddening company ever. From 7 techs who couldn't fix my service to not being competent at closing an account. I've never seen this level of incompetence company-wide.
