Wanted to upgrade old DSL, so I ordered u-verse internet on Monday, Dec. 16. On the phone with CSR "Nikki" for about 30 minutes. everything sounded ok - she setup the install for Thurs., Dec 19 between 11am and 1pm.
I waited at the appointed time until 1:15pm, then called to see what was going on. The guy "James" I talked with today could not find the order. :( (Nikki has today off)
He looked for orders on my email address, my home phone number (POTS line), and my address. The order could not be found. He took my order again, and set it up for Dec. 31. We'll see.
It was my failure to ask for and record the Acct Number and the Order Number. (I got it for this new order.) I thought everything was referenced to the AT&T home phone number, but not U-verse. U-verse has its own system (or so it seems), and a new account is set up. The billing will be separate, also, it will not be on the home phone bill like the old DSL service is.
