What residential gateway equipment can be used for uverse that supports gigabit speeds (right now is some kind of 2wire device)? Can it be bought/owned rather than leased?
How do you determine what flavor uverse service being used? (contacting ISP is last resort)
Is there anyway to determine what at&t package/plan I am subscribed to? Contacting ISP/landlord is last resort)
FYI - I'm considering upgrading the existing network equipment in the new house where I rent a room. Thinking about getting a gigabit wireless router (ASUS RT-AC68 Wireless-AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Wireless Router) to manage the network. I know that it will boost signal and wireless speeds but it maybe pointless if the residential gateways is a huge bottleneck.
