Help with NVG589 and Xbox Live connection issues.

I switched to the 45mbps Uverse upgrade a few months ago and received the NVG589 modem/router. I have been having some Xbox Live connection issues since. The problem I am having is. When I turn the Xbox on, it will not connect to live. If I "test connection" through the Xbox then I can sign in just fine and all is well. If I shut the Xbox off and immediately turn it back on. It will sign in no problem. If I let it sit off for maybe 30 mins, the issue starts again and I need to test the connection to get it to sign in. I tried doing a static IP and ran into the same issues. I then used the "allocate IP" feature in the NVG589 to give the Xbox the same IP every time and it was working fine. Only other issue I have been battling is not getting an Open NAT due to no UPNP support with the NVG589 Fastforward to last week. I purchased a MediaLink wireless router to try to fix my NAT issues. I setup the NVG589 in "Bridge/Passthrough" mode like shown in this link http://forums.att.com/t5/Features-and-How-To/How-to-put-the-Motorola-NVG589-in-bridge-mode-or-as-close-as-you/td-p/3552057#.UpCx6sSkrD8. Now that I am running the MediaLink router, I am getting open NAT on my PS4, Xbox360 and Xbox One successfully everytime. Where with the NVG589 it was almost always moderate. Now when signing into Xbox Live the same issue came about. It does not sign me in and will not sign me in until I test the internet connection, once the connection tests good I can sign in fine. It will do this if the Xbox is setup with wireless or wired, doesn't matter. All devices are now connected to the Medialink as well. Also same thing as before, if I shut the Xbox off and turn it on right away it will connect right away. If it stays off for around 30mins it will not connect right away and I have to do the test connection process again. Did I overlook a setting? Some sort of DHCP release that after a while it drops the IP? I have the new Medialink setup to give the devices the same IP everytime they turn on. However all the devices are setup in Auto mode, I did not set the static IP manually through the Xbox 360 and Xbox One they are set to Auto. Any advice is appreciated Thanks Dave
