(I'm in San Fran). I have kinda dumb question, and while we've had AT&T U-Verse for ages - I've never really needed WIFI away from home. I've got a Boostmobile (Sprint network) cell that I don't use very often away from my house.
On the AT&T website it talks about
http://www.att.com/shop/internet.html
U-Verse "Includes on-the-go access to the entire AT&T national Wi-Fi network,
at no extra charge"
What I don't understand is how do I access this on my cell ??? Do I have something wrong ?
I don't see any kind of name on available WIFI list that would indicate it's the AT&T national network.
Or is there a way to login/piggyback on any AT&T user ?
I see an XfinityWIFI and a CableWiFi choice and sometimes they're "in range". At my house in SF they're not "in range", but I do see them sometimes when out and about.
If there is no AT&T network does Comcast (or other) have a network I can connect on a laptop ? I'm considering getting a driving job for Lyft (pink mustaches), and I'd need some kind of wifi to my laptop, and if I get a two-fer that would be great. We have DirectTV now, but seems like it goes up in price every week.
If I have to get a hotspot for my laptop it'll run me 30-60$ for 2GB-5GB.
