Pre-running fiber before order?

I suspect I know the answer to this, but figure I'd put it out to the peanut gallery anyway... A friend of mine just bought a house and is planning on getting AT&T fiber. The house has not had fiber yet, so T will need to run a drop from the street to get him setup. He's going to be doing some major remodeling so probably 6+ months before he actually moves in. However, where the phone and cable come into the house will be easier to trench to and get to before the remodel (adding an addition) Is there any way to get AT&T to run a drop to the house but not order service, with a promise of ordering service in the future? He doesn't want to pay for service before they move in
