Just got off the phone with ATT and upgraded to Uverse from DSL. I asked how this is going to work being that I have not seen any Fiber being installed to the PEDS.
I asked if she knew if they were going to have to change the NID on my house or if uverse was going to utilize the copper wires. She seemed to think they were going to use the copper wires as do I. But I couldn't get an answer on wether the fiber is even to the PED yet. She just kept saying that my address states that I am able to get Uverse. So I signed up for the 12mb service.
Does anyone know if there is Fiber Yet in the Ashbury Subdivision off 95th Street near Book Rd?
I see a lot of bad reviews for Uverse but thought it has to be faster then the DSL top service I have now? Or did I make a huge Mistake?
I have a Netgear Router/Modem now. I know I am not going to be able to use the netgear as the modem. I have a lot of my house hardwired using the Netgear, is there a good amount of ports on the 2wire for me to hardwire?
Should I just cancel and keep what I have? The only reason I am switching is due to streaming video which seems to be a problem more and more lately with the DSL.
