I'm rearranging my home and want to move my office setup from one room to another. I have a 2 Line ATT base station (model TL86109) that is plugged into the standard phone jack on the wall and the Line 1+2 jack on the phone base.
When I move the phone to another room, I lose my 2nd line.
Is this something configurable through the RG or is it wiring? I have a data closet as the home is pre-wired and I've got one phone jack from the data panel to the phone jack of the RG. The service CAT5 from the house is running to the Data port of the RG. Looks like tech split and ran his own CAT5 from the end of the service line to the RG's data port.
I would like to avoid scheduling an appointment with a tech as this seems like this should be something reasonable to change on your own.
Just need a starting point so I know how to "point" the RG to the right room where the TL86109 has been moved.
Thanks.
