Ever since I switched back to AT&T and got the U-verse Power Plus package, I've been combing through the forum reading as much as I can about what to look for in the stats.
Earlier today, with just 16 days on the modem, I had over 2 million FECs on pair 1. I reset the modem 14 hours ago, and these are the stats now:

That doesn't bode well for me, does it?
I'll grab some pictures of the new NID tomorrow, but he installed a brand new one and wired it up. There is no voice service on the line, it is HSI and TV only. He ran a new CAT5 line from the NID to a new biscuit (~8'), and another CAT5 line from there to the NVG589 (~18'). There is nothing else in the signal path between the post in my back yard (~200') and the modem except for the NID. There are no other connections in the NID, and I am the only customer served from that post.
On this side of the modem, I have all 4 ethernet ports populated. Port 1 is to a TrendNet gigabit switch in the family room, which feeds the TV box and the Bluray player. Port 2 is a 1' patch to the Ooma Telo sitting next to the modem. Port 3 is a 6" patch to a TrendNet Gigabit switch sitting under the Telo. Port 4 is plugged into my laptop. I have 6 wireless devices connected, one of those being Buffalo configured in bridge mode to serve as a link to my old workstation out in my workshop. HPNA is disabled in the settings, and the coax connector is not in use.
The modem power wart is plugged into my trusty old TrippLite surge suppressor/line filter. That is about 10 years old, so it could be suspect.
