Hi, I got the NVG510 with my recent Uverse install. It seems happy for about 24hr, and then it needs to be reboot. I upgraded the firmware to 9.0.6h2d21 with no benefit for this issue.
I have a torrent server. I seem to notice that limiting the number of connections on the torrent server allows the NVG510 to survive longer.
Does any one have additional data/analysis? Is there a different modem/device I can buy? Is there a dd-wrt solution?
Sorry for such a general n00b question. I have looked through the forum, but I don't find my specific concern. I'm wondering if the NVG510 doesn't recycle closed connections properly such that I run out. I've checked the logs and only see normal data. Ultimately, the web interface on the device becomes unresponsive, so maybe the device is thrashing. However, now that i've cut the torrent max connections by 90% to only 14, when the NVG510 begins to fail to connect my HTTP/IP requests the web server is not thrashing as hard--more evidence that the device is wracking up closed connections, using up the RAM.
Thanks for your time.
