Got Uverse 3 days ago. Might switch back to my Comcast?
Nutshell: Overall, Uverse is reliable for me, except for 1 computer in the garage while i will get to below. Everything in the house is wireless, there is not one hardwired unit. I dont like how each TV HD stream will rob 6Mb of my 24Mbps bandwidth. I can see it happen as i do speed tests and my computer speed drops. I also don't like the complexity of the Uverse hardware, and not being able to use my own Asus wireless router. (without a lot of config and even more complexity.)
Problem:
I have my gaming PC in the garage since last night. It drops connection every few mins or so, and i caught it in a log. I don't think this is a "uverse" issue, as all the other ipads/laptops in the house work well. This gaming PC worked fine inside the house with the same wireless adapter.
See the problem occur each time:
*I have already turned off the uverse router firewall as best possible by changing "all devices" to the DMZ setting option.
